The DME Billing Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for durable medical equipment and related services. This position involves collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate the billing and reimbursement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Processing: Prepare and submit claims for durable medical equipment to insurance companies. Ensure accuracy and completeness of claim forms. Follow up on claim status and address any issues or discrepancies.
Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage for durable medical equipment.
Confirm eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve verification issues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of patient information, prescriptions, and billing documents. Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards.
Communication: Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries and issues. Provide assistance and clarification on billing matters.
Compliance: Stay informed about relevant healthcare regulations, billing guidelines, and compliance requirements. Ensure that billing practices adhere to industry standards and legal requirements.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries. Address patient concerns and resolve billing-related issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree having Previous experience in medical billing, particularly in DME billing, is often required. Skills: strong communication skills, and understanding of healthcare regulations.
